“An axe cuts through a forest not because of its size, but its endurance.”
― Matshona Dhliwayo
With axes they cut things down. Simple as that. But lets say that something happens. I'll give the example. The two characters in this idea story are Plum and Mango. (I like fruit ok!)
Plum: "Mango, you relaize that because I was taking care of you when I knew what was going on, I got in trouble too! I didn't do anything wrong! I was just trying to help you but got introuble too."
Mango: "Oh my gosh.... I'm so sorry I didn't mean for any of this to happen."
Plum: "It's ok, you didn't wield the axe."
You didn't wield the axe.
That's a weird sentence. But lets think about this. Plum got in trouble as Mango did, for trying to help her to do the right thing. But she said the sentence, you didn't wield the axe.
Notice, she didn't blame herself for something that she was trying to do right. She just instead said, "It's ok, I don't blame you. Someone else was punishing me not you."
Lets think about this. In Matthew 3:10 And even now the axe is put to the root of the trees; every tree then which does not give good fruit is cut down, and put into the fire.
The axe, is just about to be cut down on the trees who don't give good fruit. But how do people know if the fruit is good or not? How do they judge that?
The fruit might be good on the first day, but after waiting a few days, the fruit will be bad. Does that mean that you cut the fruit down, because you waited? That's your fault not the tree's. Don't give a bad price to pay for something you did.
Or what about maybe the tree looks horrible outside, but it gives plenty of good fruit. Do you cut it down just because it looks bad but gives the fruit you need? Or sometimes the fruit that is bad, comes from a perfectly good tree. The problem is not on the outside, it's on the inside.
Do you get what I'm saying? Good people who you don't expect to give you bad fruit can sometimes give you bad fruit. So the problem is not on the outside obviously. It's on the inside.
Don't chop down a tree after one mistake.
Don't chop a tree down because of your own mistake.
Don't chop down a tree if it looks horrible on the outside, but gives good fruit.
Don't chop down a tree after it looking great and giving bad fruit.
So what kind of fruit are you giving?
What kind of tree are you.
And remember, don't blame people if they didn't wield the axe.
