Scars

“Scars are just another kind of memory.” ― M.L. StedmanThe Light Between Oceans
Now this post is all about scars. Why would I do something like this you might ask. But our scars, external and internal are like memories. They can be memories of something bad. Or even something good.
How can they be good you ask?
Just keep reading to find out.
Scars as the dictonary tells it a mark left on the skin or within body tissue where a wound, burn, or sore has not healed completely and fibrous connective tissue has developed.
In other words a scar is when something happens and it leaves a reminder on your body. For all and everyone to see. Why would we have such a thing that God created?
I would like to explain to you some of my scars on my hands. On my right hand, my index and middle finger have a small scar on both of them from burns. (Most likely a hot glue gun knowing me) Then on the side of my ring finger still right hand, I have a scar form a wasp sting. I was maybe 5 and it hurt let me tell you. Then I think I'm going to have a scar on my index finger for my left hand here soon I had a blister and I didn't take care of it right.
One of my friends has huge scars down her legs from tripping on a treadmill really really badly.
they still look like they hurt.
Scars are reminders for us.
Like now I know to be more careful with a hot glue gun. My friend knows that she's now afraid of treadmills.
Scars are always there
They remind us what we are
Now you know how i told you at the beginning That scars can be used for good?
Well look.
This is your reminder and it should be daily that he can compare scars with you.
You might not have the same scars but Jesus, OUR JESUS has experienced pain in and of itself.
He knows
He knows what you're going through.
So look at your scars.
Now look at his.
I'm not saying his scars are greater then yours
But I am saying that Jesus knows what scars feel like and how it is to look at them every day.
So now look at your hands.
Look at them go on
and remember,
Those are the hand's Jesus died for
Jesus died for you
For you and your scars
